Painting with Wool

Bridget Karn is a  versatile Artist who was an active member of the Northern Potters until 2006 when she changed direction and  discovered  the versatility of felting, the textures of different wool types and the way the amazing range of colours can be mixed like paints to create shades and textures.

Living in the historic city of York  and surrounded by some of Britain’s most beautiful countryside Bridget captures the essence of natural unspoilt beauty  casting light and shadows in her landscapes.

Drawing and making have always been a prominent part of her life.

Bridget also finds time to  run Arts and Crafts clubs exploring a number of skills including painting and of course ceramics and her passion felting.

During her exhibition Bridget facilitated a Felt Pictures workshop on 25 November, providing a wonderful opportunity for our visitors to learn how to craft their own pictures of somewhere special.
