The Texture of Landscape
11 October-6 November
David creates pictures that evoke memories of places, journeys and forgotten feelings. You respond to the emotion of the piece before you think about it consciously.
The images he creates reference childhood memories of places and events, combined with more recent experiences. He has primarily focussed on two contrasting environments that he loves Cornish harbour scenes and Central London views.
His process uses significant collage elements, placed randomly to create texture, then worked over with acrylic and paint to develop the subject.
