Assistant Café Manager

About the Role

This is a varied, practical role combining baking, food preparation, customer service and team support. You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the café. 


Responsibilities include: 
  • Baking homemade cakes and scones
  • Preparing fresh soups and light lunches to order
  • Making hot beverages to a high standard
  • Serving customers and maintaining a welcoming environment
  • Supporting the management and supervision of staff 
  • Opening and closing the café

About you:
  • Friendly, reliable and well-organised 
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a small team 
  • Enjoys baking and preparing fresh food 
  • Comfortable interacting with customrs and leading by example 
  • Previous café or hospitality experience desirable. 


A Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate is preferred, but this can be completed with us if needed. 

Working Hours
  • 3 weekends out of 4 (essential)
  • Additional hours available during the week to cover holiday and sickness.
