About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our organisation. Reporting to the board of trustees,The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic plans, managing teams, and ensuring the achievement of organisational goals. This role requires strong leadership, excellent management skills, and a proven track record in supervising staff and volunteers within a visitor focused organisation . The ideal applicant will demonstrate exceptional organisational abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement organisational strategies aligned with company objectives.
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Lead, motivate, and supervise staff and volunteers to foster a high-performance across the organisation.
Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation effectively.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for trustees.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
Represent the organisation at events and community engagements
Qualifications
Proven experience managerial role, preferably in arts, culture, heritage.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Excellent management capabilities including strategic planning, organisation, and decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial processes effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications in business management or related fields are desirable but not essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to make a significant impact within our organisation through effective leadership and strategic oversight.
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
