The Sunbury Gallery, home of the Sunbury Millennium Embroidery, is a not-for-profit organisation with all costs being met through income generated through the Gallery and Café and generous donations from benefactors and our Members. As such, we are fortunate not to rely on any public subsidy.
The project is run by the Millennium Embroidery Group, Sunbury-on-Thames, a registered charity that ensures entry to the exhibitions and permanent display is free year round.
When the Embroidery was being created, many people helped and supported the project. This support has continued since we opened in the summer of 2006.
The Millennium Embroidery is the creation of volunteers and would not exist without the skill of the embroiderers and the generous support of the community and other funders in the creation of the building.
Our team of dedicated Volunteers continues to play a vital role in the daily operation of the Gallery. If you are interested in a volunteering and would like to meet new friends we would love to hear from you. Please contact the Gallery on 01932 788101. We recognise that your time is valuable so whatever hours or skills you can offer would be very welcome.
