Sophie graduated from the Royal School of Needlework, having mastered more than 30 hand embroidery techniques. Her passion and dedication to teaching embroidery is displayed through her embroidery classes.
Scissor Minder
Saturday 24th January – 10am to 3pm.
All skill levels - from beginners up.

Join Sophie to embroider this gorgeous floral scissor minder, then learn how to construct it. Once finished it will make the perfect holder for your embroidery scissors. There will be a choice of ribbon colours for your design.

Greeting Card
Saturday 7th March – 10am to 3pm.

Join Sophie to learn how to create 5 gorgeous hand embroidered greetings cards. During the day you will learn how to stitch and create a number of different designs, including personalising them with initials and dates.

Gold and Ribbon Embroidered Words
Saturday 25th April and 9th May – 10am to 3pm.
All skill levels - from beginners up.
Price £130 including kit.
Join Sophie for a class in goldwork and ribbon embroidery. During the two-day class, you will learn how to create a word of your choice in goldwork and embellished with silk ribbons. Words need to be under 6 letters, and words emailed to the Gallery at least 2 weeks before, so individual kits can be made. There will also be a choice of colours for the ribbon details.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, so whether you’re a seasoned embroiderer or a complete beginner, you’ll find the help and inspiration you need. All skill levels from beginners up. One-to-One Embroidery Tuition
Price £95 for 2 hours for up to 2 people.

In the two-hour session, Sophie will guide you through your embroidery project, regardless of your skill level. Her instruction is tailored specifically to your abilities. Get expert advice on designs, stitches, and refining your work. Note that kits are not provided, but Sophie is available to assist you in choosing your project.
This tailored one-to-one workshop for up to 2 people is dedicated to improving your embroidery skills.
