Weaving with Tabby and Tweed

Gillian Siggers and Emma Baker are the weavers behind Tabby and Tweed, and together they run weaving workshops teaching others to weave on rigid heddle looms or small frame looms. Gillian and Emma also design, develop, and make weaving kits. Visit their website here where you can find their online shop.

Weave a Scarf

Saturday 28th February – 10am to 4:30pm.

All skill levels - from beginners up.

Price £130 including all equipment and yarn.

Weave your own length of fabric on a pre-warped rigid heddle loom. All material and equipment will be provided although a pair of scissors would be helpful. Participants will weave enough wool yarn to make a cowl, table runner or a scarf which they will be able to take home for washing and finishing. You’ll learn how the loom works and how to create a basic tabby weave, with the option to explore more advanced techniques using pick-up sticks.
